Edit: Oh, I just realized you don't mean for the icons on the site but a "button" type icon to link back from elsewhere? I feel like that style of image hasn't been used in years.

What might the viability be for tMR allowing .blend as a secondary format? As in moving it from the blacklist to the greylist, as an additional option but still not allowing it to be the only option. Yes it is still a proprietary format, but it's already allowed as a secondary format for custom models. Given Blender is free and open-source, I would suspect it has a greater "market share" than most other proprietary formats among users, so it would presumably have a correspondingly large improvement in import friction and user experience.

I have no problem with that but the model staff will need to chime in before any final decision can be made there. I've long been in favor of Blender being a more utilized tool here though given that the vast majority of people actually using these models are probably doing so in Blender.

I mean I'd love for .blend to be allowed as a primary format, given how few features .obj and even .dae have compared to what modern game models are built of. But I recognise that's kind of a big leap that probably doesn't align with making models as widely accessible as possible. So one step at a time.

Okay, that’s what I thought and yeah, there’s no current plan to make one as there’s not a ton of demand for them these days but I suppose if that changes, we can throw an official one together.
