Question about sound submission. - Inthegrave - 05-04-2014

I have submitted sounds for Spider-man Battle for New York GBA yesterday.
Now they are no longer pending approval, but I looked in the GBA section
for Spider-man Battle for New York and the entry has yet to be put in.
I have received no PM's or emails telling me that my sounds have been
denied. So is this normal in the submission process? are they still placing
the sounds and the new game entry in?

Note: I have not submitted these sounds on the forums, but on the sounds
resource site itself.

Looking through the logs, I can see that the sounds you submitted were approved but the game they were submitted to hasn't been approved yet. As soon as the game is approved, your sounds will be available on the site and you'll receive your PMs.

Thanks Petie, much appreciated. now I can know what to expect when
submitting sounds for a new game entry again.

Also how do I up rep someone?

I'd hate to sound impatient but I have been waiting a few days for
the game Spider-man Battle for New York GBA to be approved.
How long does it usually take for a game to be approved on the
sounds resource? I want to know this so I can know what to expect
in the future.

We're currently working to implement a new iconing system for games, which should go live sometime soon. In the future, approvals shouldn't take this long - we simply see it as wasted effort at this point to work on icons that will be scrapped when the new system comes into place.

I'm sure you understand.

In the future, it won't take as long as it has, but you should still expect a few days to go by before your work is reviewed.

I do understand. I was just curious, and I thank you for your response.

*Bump*

Its been a few days Hopefully I'm allowed to bump.
I have another question.

I see that games and the sounds themselves have hits,
is this how many times someone click'd on the link to that page?
or is it how many times someone has downloaded that particular sound?

RE: Question about sound submission. - Dazz - 05-18-2014

Just how many times somebody has clicked on the link to the page.

RE: Question about sound submission. - Petie - 05-18-2014

We actually do store a download count for anyone who actually uses the "Download this Sheet/Model/Texture/Sound" link, though that isn't currently displayed anywhere.
