[FF7] 3D Cloud Sprites - Lazard - 12-27-2013

Hello everyone !
I ripped some 3D Cloud sprites from FFVII PC with the software "Ifalna" and I tried to submit it to The Spriters Resource.
They denied it and I don't really understand why... It says they don't want screenshots from 3D models, but it ain't screenshots !
Please explain me and I will correct it ! Wink

Technically, these sprites are screenshots of a 3D model. We have the Models Resource for models, and while technically you could upload a complete "spritesheet", you wouldn't want to for the obvious reason I'm now going to explain.

You would need to create roughly 46656000 screenshots for every frame of animation to account for every angle, and then again by 256 times to account for every draw distance, and then again by 768 times to account for every combination of lighting. So for just a single frame, that comes to a total of 9172942848000 screenshots. Or "sprites", as you would call them.

Oh right, that make sense !
I really though it was okay so I'm sorry, I'll just keep it for me. Shy

It might be useful for someone, though. So just spew it on a tumblr or something and share it across the interwebz =w= Heart

In rpg maker sites, for example.

This is the sort of situation where, you'd use a 3D model :\
