Animating and ripping animations? - lemmesleep - 10-30-2013

So I'm new to this but I try to find answers myself before giving up and asking. I know how to animate joints and (kinda) understand .brres and .chr0 files. But is there a way to rip and use the actual effects/and the animation? Like the ice beam animation from Pokemon Colosseum and the way the Pokemon moves when they use it? What files should I be looking for and where?

Also, I have no idea how to use/animate the fighter effects and final smashes from SSSB. It's just flat pictures and random objects. Do you animate the texture or is there something else to it? This is EffPokeLizardonSorawotobu.dae from Charizard fighter effect btw. [Image: 8ygcp3.png]

What program are you using to animate?
