Loose Pixels - culture - 09-05-2013

So I've dabbled on and off spriting/ pixel art-wise for a long while now. Maybe once or twice a year or something.
Anyways, a few months back I applied for this job on craigslist for character design and spriter for funded online game. Needless to say I didn't get the job... Though liked it, they were looking for a more "traditional" style.

Anyways, here's what I sent them. The character is based off of a photo of one of the creators of the game.

I might just keep this thread updated from time to time

RE: Loose Pixels - Baegal - 09-05-2013

the bob in the walking should be at the knees, not the neck!
It makes his hips look awkwardly rigid and the neck bump seems really unecessary.

Try moving the bob down to the knees or waist.

Also, it looks like he's wobbling his arms rather than bending them

Add some shadows and a little more details to it.

Haha, sure thing. I'll try to fix that.

I forgot how hilarious his arm movements were.
I'll try to fix that too.

The aim, originally, was to have quite a simplified design, but since this isn't being used for anything now, I might as well mess with it. Maybe some shadows and detailing to make it look nicer.

Thanks for the crit. guys
