Just out of curiosity, after the sprites are ripped, are the levels themselves going to be ripped? Or would it be too difficult to rip?

It's within the realm of possibility. I foresee slow progress, however, due to a shortage of people who're actually ripping.

Nope. It was ripped through TM, so it's larger than appears in the game. Because of this, the designers didn't darken that part. It looks weird, but it's technically correct.

Bleh. This took longer than it should have, because...
1. I forgot there were underwater-specific sprites after I ripped everything else, and...
2. I spent a few hours editing the parasol for those sprites, since it had a smaller palette for some reason...

Anyhoo, here it is.

The underlined sprites are ones I'm not sure of the placement for, as I haven't seen them in-game. If you have any complaints of how the underwater parasol's shaded, then all I have to say is "Hey, at least it looks better than it originally did!").

Oh, and I had to edit the parasol (read: "take the parasol from Parasol Waddle Dee and recolour it") for the attacking sprites for the same reason.

...Imma go rip four of the bosses now -- Wham Bam Rock, Wham Bam Crystal Jewel, Main Cannon #2 and Halberd Reactor.

...and it turns out that I had missed another ability icon for the misc. sheet that Jaabi and I ripped, relating to Meta Knight.

It's Meta Knight's equivalent of the "summoning helper" icon. Dunno how I missed that one. Oh, right... It's because I didn't use it when I was playing Meta Knightmare Ultra. XP

Quick note about the Twin Cannon, none of the sprites you have marked "unused" aren't actually unused. As you can see here:

The nozzle-ish thing is a part of the cannon that flies off when it explodes, and the other thing is a part of the floor that only rises up when the boss' health is really low. (Which is different then the SNES version, which did it at random intervals regardless of its health).

I feel your pain. Now you know what I went through with the Hammer sprites; except mine was even worse because I had the headband to add too.

I'm pretty confident that those sprites were never actually used in the game, as nobody seems to have ever seen them. So even if you're wrong nobody will ever know.

If you look at the hammer ones closely, you can see that the metal rim on the underwater sprites is actually yellow instead of silver. And there's less shading too. I'm not sure exactly why they did that since they could have easily gotten away with just using the same ones they used above water.

Did you actually find the underwater sprites in one of the tile files or did you end up having to abuse screenshots and/or save data like I did?

Erm... Whoops? I didn't notice the nozzle when the cannon exploded, so I thought that the sprite for that was a leftover from the SNES version. (It wouldn't be the first time.) As for the rising floorboards thing, I had never seen the cannon use that, so I thought that it was taken out of the DS remake. Blame me for not keeping the cannon intact long enough... Sick

I abused screenshots, of course. I think I might've seen the underwater parasol sprites in the tiles, but I couldn't find a palette for them, for some reason...
