A bit of help with Blender and Sonic Colors enemy eye textures? - MaverickDVNT - 07-03-2013

Um basically, I'm trying to render a Buzz Bomber from Sonic Colors but I have no idea how to make the eye texture go transparent so only the blue light shows up or something like that....

Can someone tell me what this would be called and how I would do this properly?

Those are set up by what's known as "additive" transparency, which is basically using the texture's luminosity as a transparency.

I see....would you happen to know how to set this up in Blender? I've tried looking it up on the internet but nothing has seemed to work :/

Either you didn't look very hard, or this is the wrong Blender, but I found this:

Additive alpha in Blender (top google search result for "blender additive")

Hope this helps.
