#1: Does Dazz make money off of spriters-resource money donations because of the sprites on spriters-resource?

have a website similar to spriters-resource but accepts donations as well

I use sprites in games of mine sometimes I picked.

#1: Dazz makes negative money because servers and bandwith are expensive and there are hardly any donations and ad people do not pay a lot.
2#: Hardly. You can be lucky if you can cover your costs, but most of the time you have to put more moneys into your website than you will ever earn with it. Only really huge, super well known websites can make moneys due to higher ad demands, but donations don't bring in a lot of money at all.
To sum it up, even with ads and donations, a website will usually cost you money instead of earning you any.

Also I've used sprites for references when mimicking styles, as well as learning techniques and sometimes, for simple browsing. There are so much interesting content that can be used, either in theory or in practice, and that's what matters the most. I never used its sprites for games though, as I prefer making my own graphics.

I once used SR sprites in an atrocious sprite comic that shall hopefully never see the light of day again
I think my avatar uses SR sprites too, actually.
