I voted for NicktendoDS, because as large and fancy as Keiangs pixelart is, I feel like NicktendoDS' is a better showcase of raw talent, and more visually interesting + stimulating to look at.
Additionally, Keiangs looks unfinished because of the amount of blank space he has. The problem with leaving the clouds start white like that is that it messes with the composition. The foreground + background of the piece is highly detailed, but the middleground, which is essentially the layer that could've been used to tie it together, is not.

I see your point; to be honest, I kind of threw in the background without really thinking about composition. I also thought about shading the clouds, but I couldn't get it to look right with the grey. If I had used the light brown, I probably would've had to make the background darker, and the brown looks weird enough to me as is.
I suppose if I were to redo this piece somewhere down the line, I'd change the background to like a sunset or something, and have the airship in silhouette.
On another note, is voting over yet? No offense to anyone, but I have an actual idea for the next one. WELP LOOKS LIKE THE POLL CLOSED

All three of you guys did fabulously! My favorite was Keiang's, I love how his face and hair look most of all and the airship is pretty cool. The bottom left does feel a little empty after reading Kojjiro's points but I think the dude in front and the ship make up for it. Otherwise I probably would have voted for Previous'. The animation just kinda brings you in and the train and objects have that style that's just appealing and screams Previous. The background is pretty much the icing on the cake.
