RE: Superjustinbros Sprite Archives - Superjustinbros - 09-13-2012

Well I can wait as much as it's needed to before all of these sheets get properly submitted onto the site.

In other news, I think I'm going to take a break from sprite-ripping just so I can give myself and the mods a little less to worry about.

But in the meantime, I'll provide three more sheets ready to go.

Below are rips from both the MSX2 (top) and ZX Spectrum (bottom) ports of Arkanoid: Revenge of DOH. They'd both go under "Other Systems".

[Image: Arkanoid2ZXSpectrumtsr.png][Image: Arkanoid2ZXBlockIconTSR.png][Image: Arkanoid2ZXTSR.png]

And here's a new sheet for "Goindol" (ARC):

I'm also going to update the Super Boy (MSX/Other Platforms) tile set, as it's missing one block.

EDIT: You can now find the updated Super Boy tile set on the topic's previous page or below. Pleasure doing business with ya.

RE: Superjustinbros Sprite Archives - Superjustinbros - 09-16-2012

I know it hasn't been that long of a "break", but I suppose I should change it to (not uploading sprites as often). In other news, I've decided to post teasers on my next projects.

Bio Senshi Dan (NES)
[Image: ScreenShot2012-09-16at103922PMcopy.png][Image: ScreenShot2012-09-16at110100PM.png]
This will be rips of all the large sprites used by the protagonist Dan, from the intro to the end.

Doraemon (NES)
[Image: ScreenShot2012-09-16at110128PMcopy.png][Image: ScreenShot2012-09-16at110114PM.png]
All the sprites used by Doraemon throughout the game's three worlds. In the first world, many of the actions that can be performed by Doraemon use the same frames as walking. I'm also ripping these as long ago I had made a series of custom non-Doraemon sprites based on the game.

I also brought in a plethora of screenshots for the arcade version of Arkanoid 2, so I can try getting some sprite rips from it posted. Probably for now I can do everything except the intro/tile/ending, the bosses, and the enemies.

If it'll make it any easier for the mods, I can list off the sheets of mine that have yet to be submitted onto the main site; just to avoid possible confusion.

RE: Superjustinbros Sprite Archives - Garamonde - 09-17-2012

Nah, I know what needs to be done, I just haven't done it. I guess I'm gonna have to sometime today though...

RE: Superjustinbros Sprite Archives - Garamonde - 09-17-2012

Okayyyy I think that's everything!
BTW, a small issue I'd like to bring up that is extremely similar to a recent one: on your Super Boy sheet, the extension has ".png?t=1347635338" as opposed to .png, meaning I have to save the sheet to my computer and upload it that way or else it doesn't display when uploaded. I'd just like to ask if from now on you can make sure that all your sheets have ".png" at the ends, to save me a bit of time. Smile
Also another small suggestion that's somewhat insignificant (meaning you don't have to if you don't want): I noticed you name your sheets and icons strange names like "NorapolyRip" and "ScreenShot2012-09-01at124523AM" sometimes, and while it may be convenient for you it would make things a little easier for us if you named them by the sheet/icon's exact name like "Norapoly Tiles & HUD Icons" and "Norapoly Icon" instead of made up names. It doesn't really hinder getting your stuff on the site it just makes it a little easier and faster and less confusing (at least for me since I get confused kinda easily Tongue).

RE: Superjustinbros Sprite Archives - Superjustinbros - 09-17-2012

Certainly. Wink I'll remember to re-name filenames appropriately when I'm uploading future sheets. The whole funky numbers after the .png thing is because of Photobucket refusing to properly update a file to the newer version on external sites when you delete it and re-upload it with the same title.

I thank you deeply for posting the sheets onto the site. One thing I noticed while browsing was that Twin Squash's "Opponents" sheet is displayed twice.

On other topics, I got Doraemon (NES) ripped.

Should cover just about everything in the game (The ending of World 3 may not re-use Doraemon's celebration sprites from World 1, and the all-black Doraemon sprite used in the ending are part of the background.)

RE: Superjustinbros Sprite Archives - Garamonde - 09-17-2012

Okie fixed and uploaded and stuff!

RE: Superjustinbros Sprite Archives - Superjustinbros - 09-18-2012

Thanks again! Genki ^_^

Minor update to the Goindol "Gameplay Objects" sheet, but I forgot to put in the lives icon in the original version, which is present here.

RE: Superjustinbros Sprite Archives - Garamonde - 09-18-2012

Uppydated. Wink

EDIT: Uppydated the new one below again. Wink

RE: Superjustinbros Sprite Archives - Superjustinbros - 09-18-2012

Thanks again, though I wanted to mention I moved over the spinning 777 plate by a few pixels.

Updating the sheet is not mandatory, since it's just a minor cleanup. so that two sprites don't occupy the same 8x8 or 16x16 pixel space.

RE: Superjustinbros Sprite Archives - Superjustinbros - 09-20-2012

Another update; the Pocket Zaurus Hashimoto sheet has been edited. It cleans up one of the human form's poses and adds the remainder of the ending sprites.

RE: Superjustinbros Sprite Archives - Garamonde - 09-20-2012

Upperdated. Wink

RE: Superjustinbros Sprite Archives - Superjustinbros - 09-21-2012

Thanks once again Mighty! *breakdances*

I've been looking through my submissions and noticed an oddity about Block'N (Other Systems), where it displays "General Sound Effects" right above the general sprites icon. I believe it should be changed to "Miscellaneous".

In terms of other projects, I'm building a sheet for Arkanoid: Revenge of DOH (Arcade) and plan on returning to finishing up Bio Senshi DAN sooner or later. I've also been collecting the sound effects from Goindol (yea, you can tell it's one of my favorite arcade breakout games next to Arkanoid) and may consider contributing them to The Sounds Resource once I get the 1UP chime recorded.

RE: Superjustinbros Sprite Archives - Garamonde - 09-21-2012

WELP *goes to fix it*

DOUBLE WELP *sees Previous already fixed it, the quick bugger*

Thanks Previous, I must've made a mis-click. Wink

RE: Superjustinbros Sprite Archives - Superjustinbros - 09-21-2012

Back with the Bio Senshi Dan big sprites for Dan. I lost the internet for a bit so I beat the game while my Mac was offline and finished up the remainder of sprites.

Now containing a frame of Ninja Dan's walking animation that I left out on accident.

The icons are on the second post of this page.
