Smash Brothers Sprite Animation - Kedric - 08-05-2012

Hey guys,

Machinima just uploaded my most recent sprite animation. I don't normally post them here but I really owe this website a lot for all the help I received finding the Smash Brothers sprites.

At the end you will see credits where I name every sprite artist who created custom sprites. Is this the way a sprite artist desires to be recognized? I want to make sure I do this correctly on future episodes so I give people the credit they deserve!

Nice work! Good Chansey impression, and thanks for the kudos. I'm sure they all appreciate it.

Hey Tonberry! Thanks.

I actually used your Custom Booster (Mario RPG) sprites in Episode 2. Machinima will probably upload it next week.

:-)

That should be fun. Tongue

Honestly, giving any nod is better than most... Dorkly springs to mind particularly.

I like it =)

Edit: Ah, I see the Chicago Alley from Killer Instinct and the Firebird from Illusion of Gaia/Time.

I always wondered about Dorkly. I see them using sprites I see in the custom section of this site without ever giving credit. I always figured they had some sort of agreement with the artist. Is this not true?

The term you used, "better than most" troubles me a little. It implies that it is "better" but it still is not good. In what way am I still not giving proper credit? A lot of work has been put into these sprites and I want to make sure the artist feel good about the use of their work.

RE: Smash Brothers Sprite Animation - Ton - 08-07-2012

I don't think he meant anything negative. He's just saying that you've done better than most people where credit is concerned and we appreciate it.

As Ton said, I'm happy! Smile

Hey, I didn't know if you guys were following Smash Champ or not, but I thought I would share my latest video with you all. I figured some of you like to see your custom sprites put into action. I appreciate this website and the community of spriters here. You guys are awesome.

P.S. If anybody wants to make custom sprites specifically for this series - that would be awesome. It would open my range of possible characters tremendously. :-)

I actually quite enjoy these, hope you can keep 'em up. Always good to see a fellow Brit in the gaming animation entertainment Youtube video-sphere. The most extended sphere-name on the planet, apparently.

Yea, a lot of people really like Dexter. That is why I asked for his help. He is brilliant. We plan to finish the season at episode 9. Whether we continue after that depends on how successful the series is. We can't seem to break 100,000 views which is really strange.

I love how they treat Chansey so poorly. Makes me laugh every time. xD
