I apologize, Iceman. I have been commissioned to pretty much re-sprite the whole game ) : Items, character select screen, etc.

If I wasn't commissioned to do that much, I'd say, by all means go ahead! But I am..so I don't want you to sprite something, and me get money for it. You know? It wouldn't be right at all and I'd just feel guilty for it.
Though you're more than welcome to try the style out for yourself, like Chris2balls has done with DK Jr.

As for how the items are handled, I am not sure at all. From the information I have been shared with so far, it just looks like Nintendo was rushed and had to skip around a bit. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was done on purpose.

ALTHOUGH..apparently the hackers are having trouble with the coding so..we may not be able to add all additional 4 characters.

You know, Come to think of it since I guessed right that actually kind of solves one issue if you guys plan on putting it into full scale for the hack.

I mean, Wario did kind of bring a ruin to the balance thing, like iceman said. But in a way DK jr. could rival him in that aspect while Rareware DK rivals Bowser. Two other characters are more or less up to you guys.

But of course, I'm only saying this just for the sake of it. Maybe because I am actually interested in what can come out of this.

What about the overly bright skin tones? You should just use Toad's skin tone for everyone else.

So yeah, I've been messing around with pallets so characters can function better in game and won't be all f'd up. They'll continue changing like they have been until sheets are finalized.
Yoshi is now a stand alone palette(THANK THE GAMING GODS). Yoshi will be a very unique character. I'll reveal why in the next update.
Luigi and Bowser now share palettes.
Mario, DK, and Toad are having a threesome sharing a palette.
Wario and Peach share a palette.
For a reminder for those who don't understand, certain characters must share the same palette to not look weird and function correctly in game. I don't exactly know why it's like that. I just make art

And uhh..Koopa Troopa fans..I have bad news.

...In other words Koopa Troopa won't be in the hack. :/ I apologize.
I actually made Yoshi have Koopa Troopa's palette so he could be in the game(they would've shared the same palette). We'll just have to see where things lead to I guess.
Apparantly coding in another character changes..a shitload of other things. It'd take forever to add in the characters picked out(including Koopa Troopa)

Why the hell would they get rid of Koopa? Literally everyone who has played the game almost always picks Koopa from what I've experienced, as he's a liked character; this just gives the middle finger to character balance in the longrun as well. I'd hate to see who replaces him. Oh well I guess, nothing you can do about it anyways.

Wario always seemed to have decent acceleration and off-road for a heavy character in MK64; maybe he could be subbed for Peach, who in turn, would sub for Koopa, fixing the balance issue. Or something like that. I usually picked Koopa in SMK too, but it was more for the stats than anything.

Incidentally, I'm pretty sure the stats can be messed with by changing these ROM addresses.
