Once, I posted my attempts at spriting here, and it was horrendous. I'm trying again, and I think I did pretty well. It's 100% custom!

it's good that you tried something custom. Sure, there are a lot of things to learn, but the fact that you're leaving edits is a great accomplishment.

but doing something 100% custom without any reference will not result in good pixelart. You did a wireframe before detailing your sprite, but you don't seem to understand why we do this. It's not only to give him a cool pose; it also previews where the limbs' joints are, as well as giving their parts the same length.

notice that his hip bones are totally out of place, the limbs are too stiff and the outline is lighter than the actual color inside it.

Please, look for anatomy tutorials and look up for real-life references. They'll be really handy.
