They remind me of certain video game soundtracks (Portal, Silent Hill, ...)
I guess they'd be well-suited for horror games where you want to create tension and suspense.

I'm not a fan of this type of music, so I don't have much to add aside from this sounding interesting.
It could indeed fit in a game or something as background ambient music, so you were spot-on imo
