Ripping Genesis/MD sounds? - RadSpyro - 04-16-2012

I hope this is the right place. I'm trying to rip some sounds from a Sega Genesis game, but so far I'm not having much luck. The game uses the instruments for 80% of the sound effects, so it's blending in with the bgm and sticking to that 'layer'.

There's no access to the sounds on the Sound Test, and no way to turn off the background music either. Are there any program recommendations? Or is this currently undoable?
