RE: Nick's Pixels'n'stuff - Cytric Acid - 03-18-2012

Ugh Rhenopolos! They're bad enough, but now there are Bullfango in Portable 3rd... is capcom trying to murder us?

Alright, to crits. I notice that the gigginox's front sprite looks like his mouth is almost on the bottom of his neck, instead of being in the middle, rather. I lengthened it and expanded the canvas to 64x64 (that's the size for 1st and 2nd gen right? or 3rd? either way) i notice that you forgot a few things on him too, like the blobs of flesh at the end of his wings.
He seemed to be pillow shaded on the glowy belly thingies, so i edited that. It seems like your light source was coming from the top right, even though I believe 1st/2nd gen it comes from the left. i also altered his pallete so the red and green go better together with the pallete restrictions. (egh LOL)
of course, it's just a crappy fast edit, but i hope i illustrated the big edits i did. I'd have to say his pose looks a bit odd, but i guess he's doing a body slam, eh?

also, i'd suggest giving the jho a more greenish tinge to his pallete, i mean, his tail is known as a pickle, hehehe.

nice to see another hunter on the forums, btw! We should hunt sometime maybe.

OMG progress!
Forgot his golden prayer beads. While I was at it, added the text on his amulet. My knowledge of Japanese symbols is zero, so have some Romanji instead.

あくま

That's "Akuma" in Hiragana, if you want it.

RE: Nick's Pixels'n'stuff - NICKtendo DS - 03-20-2012

Thanks, but I would have looked it up if I wanted to. It's so non-Japanese can read it and it's easier for me to remember.
Shinzo in Bouncy Cat Mao also carries the same amulet with that text.

I don't know if it's because of the highlights, but the coin doesn't seem too round, especially on the right portion.

More random junk:

The one on the left is Omega-1, also known as 'RPG'. He was created by the galactic overlord, Xan, using stolen designs from 4-TECHS (the science company that made Bolt, another character I made).
RPG has the ability to create illusions by manipulating the sight of others remotely using electric pulses that scrambles the information between the eyes and brain. He can also fake self-destruction and launches sawblades with his tail.

The one on the right is Bistro the Rat from Bouncy Cat Mao. He usually hides in a garbage bin full of cheese, which he throws in a similar fashion as Donkey Kong throws barrels.

Thought, might aswell fine-tune Shinzo while I'm at it.
...
What happened to the romanji on the amulet? OMG, cannot read!

Tried something different for a change. Picked my own colors this time aswell.

Wanted to make something for the main page, so I started a Genesis style Bigfoot.
Animating those chicken legs are going to be a pain. (I have the legs saved seperately on my PC)

So much better than the last time i saw Shinzo. I actually prefer the japanese 'Akuma' written on it.

Here's the sheet as it is now.

Assuming assets can be used from existing sheets, like enemy projectiles.

RE: Nick's Pixels'n'stuff - saifors - 03-31-2012

the walkig animation looks really jumpy maybe some extra frames could help in that also so it goes slower right now it looks more like he's dancing.

New walk-cycle:

Looks even more like dancing! Wink

Maybe it looks different when it actually moves, though.
