ok i am haveing trouble with ripping this game using YY-CHR.... DX someone help please?

Are you planning to rip all the sprites or are you just asking "WELP I CAN'T RIP"?
If it's the second one, wrong session.
If you're asking help to do the first one, WHICH version of FF3? NES? DS? WSC? (if you say "SNes", please get outta here)

what could you rip from the DS version other than menu items? I didn't even know there WAS a WSC verion of FF3

The only thing I can think of are magic effects, weapons, and text & stuff.

Text isn't the official font, there's only a fan-translation. So the only left are the magic effects and weapons really. And many of them were recycled from the previous games (except for, of course, the summons)

First of all, Katakana, Hiragana, and Kanji count as text/font. Second, all 3 games have a version of the English font (only the capitol letters and II is missing an X) for the "Programmed by Nasir" and stuff. It may be unused in III but it is present in the Japanese ROMs (including Final Fantasy I + II).
