I've begun thinking of it like this: Me being relatively smarter than most people, is like a tortoise being relatively faster than other tortoises. He'll still be slow as hell because tortoises are incredibly slow to begin with.

That includes here, but it also includes somebody I won't name that pretty much everyone here agrees is a douche.
I'm really just getting fed up of drama that serves no purpose. It's pointless. It isn't worth my time, or anybody on the planet's time, so stop getting me involved. I'm not angry or frustrated, I'm just fed up.

but uh, i can totally understand this feeling. when people do dumb shit on this forum, it's not precisely dazz's fault. this does not make dazz "one of them". dazz, as he said, rips sprites and this is his hobby. if this is what I think this is about, dazz wasn't around for any of those things though he usually gets wind of them later.
im down with all of you guys. but when a demographic changes on a forum happens so radically after a dramatic fallout, that doesn't mean you come back and troll the shit out of them once you already know realize how nihilistic misogynist immature stupid and ignorant everyone is.
it kinda blows being a new person on a forum and then a bunch of internet cool kids come back, make a post, and then suddenly half a dozen people ive never seen post before come out of the woodwork and now suddenly that one person has an entourage. that sure makes me want to be that person after 500 posts!
i'll put it this way: you'll notice with a site like this (being we're not so tightly knit as, say, another community i wont mention, "dead horse beaters" should know who im talking about) that there are probably a ton of naive posters and new faces now. most people have moved on from the other incarnations of this site as they've probably gone on to get jobs, have found another way to make a living, etc. if your pals have ~moved on~, you have two options: either continue posting and help shape the new generation of posters, or take that as a hint from your departed friends to follow suit. i'm not sure what to tell you guys at this point :/
i love the shit out of you guys (you still should know who i'm talking about), but really: if you guys are going to gripe about how naive and perhaps nihilistic the new community is, your opinions aren't going to mean anything and we're not going to care unless you actually try to shape the new generation.

As for the rest of what you were talking about... I have been quite haunted by it. If you remember I was involved in past drama, so it's particularly painful to see drama resurface.
I never want cause problems, but I'm constantly reminded that I did. And was given painful labels.
To this day I am filled with sorrow that I could never fix these issues via apologetic PMs. I guess I can only look to the future and move on.

Not looking forward to tonight. Just finished helping re-shingle my parents roof, my body's extremely sore, I have blisters on my feet, and my hands, and I have to go work a 10 hour shift serving a wedding in a half hour..
And next week I work all 7 days in a row, 3 of the days on a double shift at both jobs, fuck. I enjoy making money, but I prefer not being sore and tired 24/7 even more.

As for whatever Dazz and everyone else was on about - man when the internet becomes serious business it sucks. People just need to stay cool and remember that we're all here because of a common interest. It's amazing how much a dick people can be online.
As for me, got a new laptop charger, it's working (that's good), gets kinda hot though (that's bad), but not as hot as the original (that's good), but I am concerned that it might explode as many of the other replacement chargers available at Amazon (not mine thankfully) have had "it exploded" written in there reviews (that's bad).
Browsing the net while in constant fear of death... awesome.

So my mom has to borrow about $1200 from me to pay for our first months rent in our new apartment we'll be moving into, which is roughly half my bank account total checking/savings combined. I wouldn't have to loan this out, were it not for the fact that my stepdad (Who my mom is thankfully divorcing.) deciding that "Oh yeah, I have student loans, I should pretend to keep on those to some degree" and winding up getting both of their tax returns taken away. My mom filed to get her half since it was only him that fucked up, but it'll still be a month or more before she gets the money which would've gone towards the apartment.
At least she promised to pay me back with the tax returns when she gets them, but this whole thing could've been avoided if my stepdad gave a shit about the people around him.
Now if only I didn't have to babysit half the week which cut my hours and thus my paychecks to at most ~100 a week.
