RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Carpaccio - 05-10-2012

Sorry to double post, folks, but I have a question. I have finally captured the 'standard' frames for N. Boss, but the problem is that the orbs that make him up have a shine that rotates. Should I just use one standard 'shine' level and simply put the 'orbs' different levels of shine at the top so people can change them as they wish, or should I personally go through and make each frame a duplicate but with different shine level?

I'd keep a cycle of the shine animation off to the side so it can be changed by whoever is using the sheet. Otherwise you'd probably have an infinite number of sprites.

Not to push it, but when will we begin the next ripping project? I've got a PSP game lined up which I'll get started on once the project begins (have plenty to keep my occupied until then anyway)

I was going to ask that. I already have some stuff just waiting.

Yeah, I've actually been wondering this as well.

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 05-11-2012

We can start soon. I was just going to wait until this project stopped getting attention.

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - A.J. Nitro - 05-11-2012

Well we could have both projects open at the same time, can't we?

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 05-12-2012

We can if people want to. I just don't like overwhelming people and killing the projects. Tongue It has happened too many times around here already.

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Dazz - 05-12-2012

Agreed, perhaps wait a month?

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 05-12-2012

Sounds good. I AM glad that interest in this project has lasted so long though. Thanks for that, guys. Smile

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Garamonde - 05-12-2012

Wow, this project has lasted a whole year and two months... Has any project ever lasted that long?
Also I still haven't been able to rip that thing that I wanted for this, I guess I'll end up having to post it in my submission thread...

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Shade - 05-12-2012

Wait, I have something ripped. Am I allowed to post it here?

Post away!

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 05-12-2012

Please do!
I was going to wait for the follow up to the Clay Fighter rips and Ant's MK3 rips to be completed, but we can always start the next one and let them submit in their own topics, maybe?

I also have an idea for a unique spin on the next project.

My MK3 / UMK3 rips might be awhile so if you want to start a new project go ahead and do it. DO IT!!! DO IT NOW Tongue
