I may have to PARTIALLY break the spirit of this later on down the line for THIS game I remember from WAAAAAY back when I rented it in a shoddy video store:

Beat 'em up for most of the game, but skip to about 2:00. Fighting game style engine for boss battles. I know it's kind of cheating, but I may do this anyway during this project. Some of the bosses are badass.

Nice Goku! Is this a SNES game?

No. As I said in my post, it's an arcade game

Hey Ton, I'll leave everything posted here for you to upload - sound cool?

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 03-28-2011

Sounds very good. PS- Bill Bailey?

Just some progress with Blanka so far. The palettes will probably take me a while to get, since Hyper Street Fighter II has all of the same palettes from the other 5 versions of (Super) Street Fighter II, but they're all slightly different. So I basically have to rip those all twice.

And my Dreamcast emulator's set up again to work with Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Tron Bonne will NOT be fun to rip due to the fact the sprites aren't quite 2x size (more like 1.66x or so), but someone's gotta get a proper sprite rip that doesn't have palette problems (like the PS2 sprites have).

Great job so far, man!

Karnov's Revenge

This took much longer than expected.

And because this one has the missing sprites that my previous rips didn't, i'll have to edit them to include them.

Fantastic! Maybe I'll attempt... something tonight.

It is me or does Ryoko look like a female Ryu?

Just to let everyone know, I am working on finishing the remaining 6 characters of Street Fighter 1 (arcade) [Lee, Gen, Birdie, Eagle, Adon and Sagat]. However I won't be able to finish them until I come back from my vacation (Lee so far is the most complete of the characters) due to lack of computer.

Also nice job on all the rips that have been done so far in the project.

Reprising the role of "Manny" from Black Books, one of the best british sitcoms ever created.

Also, I think I might try and rip a whole game on my own for the snes at some point... But I want it to be a fun one, so it might take a while to find one.

Killer Instinct? Tongue

I've pretty much screwed myself over because I've suddenly got it in my head that I want to rip Weaponlord, probably the most confusing fighting game I've ever played. However, the animations seem to be a lot more simple than I remember, at least on the Genesis version, and I can at least do the moves. There's a lot of complicated stuff in the game though, like battle damage, so I might not actually complete a whole sheet from it. >_<

It's animations like THESE that are really gonna complicate things, seeing as I don't know how to do fatalities yet. T_T
