She looks familar to me. Anyway, excellent job and it's okay if your Clayfighter rip hasn't been finished yet. Just take your time and it'll be good when it's done.

Frodo, Legolas, Half-Orc, Aragorn, UrukHai (a Goblin type creature) and Eowyn. No Gollum or Gandalf at all and it has Chinese Fighter leftovers in the ROM so it could have fitted into the game...

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 04-25-2011

Aw, I was hoping for Gandalf at least. Oh well.

Ah, don't worry about it. I'm not done with the EarthWorm Jim sheet, either. Tongue

You know when you run out of ideas of ripping when you decide to rip a horrible game and to make matters worse is that the programming is shoddy (even the sprites where half of them face one direction and the other half face the other just for one sprite)... Yes, I will be ripping more of this game.

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 04-27-2011

HAha, I remember playing this game on the Lynx, I think. It's so horrible.

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Xinos - 04-27-2011

Apologies for a lack of submissions, i've been having a busy easter.

But now i'm back into the swing of sprite submitting, and Matlok will be up in a few hours.

Eat cow!

I'm pretty sure that's all of his sprites. Should I have missed anything, I can always go update that sheet.

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 04-28-2011

Awesome! I need to remove the "Sculptor's Cut" part of that section.

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - A.J. Nitro - 04-28-2011

Sweet! Working on any other fighters?

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Garamonde - 04-28-2011

I say I'm gonna add another BG the next day, and four days later it's up. More Super Street Fighter II Turbo:

EDIT: This took longer and was harder to rip mainly because of all the animations.

Already got a few sprites for Boogerman (not really worth showing yet since it's only his intro and idle animations so far), but I'll continue working on that after I've ripped Ibuki from Super Gem Fighter: Mini Mix (as promised I would). Then after both of those are done, I'll take a crack at finishing up that Kid Muscle sheet of yours, and then Ayu Tsukimiya (from Eternal Fighter Zero) and finally Tron Bonne (from Marvel vs. Capcom 2, which will take me a while to rip mainly due to repairing the PS2 rips and correcting the palettes). Not sure what else I'll rip, but I'll decide on that later, since I'm not gonna be finished ripping for the project yet.

I was going to get some help on the Genesis fighting games last night but it backfired. Guess that I would have to know diassembly to continue unless I get lucky somehow or find a game on my side. Despite what Glisp said a few pages back, the compression routines that he mentioned only apply to a few games [none apply to this project, in fact Konsinski compression is only found in 4 games so far] so a lot of them are still unknown and SonMapEd is only handy if you know about the game mapping format (basically only Sonic 1, 2 Final, 3&K [to a degree] and Crackers are known).

However that won't stop me from this project.

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 04-29-2011

Awesome! And too bad there aren't more people who make ripping tools. Tongue

Hi, I'm Insanius. I write ripping programs.

Send me a link I'll try.

I've got sprite rips of Power Instinct Matrimelee but they don't have proper palettes only a 16 color gradation that I fudged to get the sprites to display. If anyone's got a solution or would like to take the time to create the palettes for me I'd appreciate it.

Usage: Load the included data folder
Use A/Z to cycle sprites.
Use the View Pic Files option to see miscellaneous images.

I've dumped basically everything from Arcana Heart 3, I need to figure out an appropriate way to upload 3 gigabytes of image files...
I've already uploaded a good chunk of it here though

I've already posted my Neo Geo Battle Coliseum rips in the PSX/PS2 subforum, KOFXI is coming soon. I'm currently investigating 2k3, 2k2, and 2k2UM.
