I do. I just never had to scale anything before.

Is there a way you could do this with 3DS Max? Because I'm unfamiliar with Milkshape.

umm.. I know this is old but I have problems using that plugin.
Everytime I use it to open toy story 2, the game doesn't load.
It works with the original plugin ( it lags a bit but I don't know why. I can run the game fine in project 64 )
Anyone knows a way to fix that?
Thanks for the tutorial anyways Wink

WOW. I wish I was smart enough to figure out all of this.

I recently started to rig MMD models and just figured out how to convert the models from this site via Blender/I'm using Version 2.49.

I cannot wait for when I got enough posts to make a request, and I've also been here for a full month/trust me I checked and I joined the 22nd of last month.

Nice work, guys, and I look forward to rigging some of these models.

I found something MUUUUCH better than Blender. It's called MeshLab. Exporting it in Blender makes billions of unnecessary texture groups, making the whole thing confusing as hell. In MeshLab, you can export the wrl as obj with all of the texture maps and groups.

Hello, I'm new in the forum, and i have trying to rip models from Pokemon Stadium 2, with no success. When I paused the game and pressed f3 the only thing appeared in the vrml is the .wrl file, without any .bmp file. Anyone knows what's happening? Without the .bmp files i can't work with the textures. I know that post is old but please help me.[/align]

Thanks!

I can't get Lemmy's plugin to work in either 1964 or Nemu. I get the following error in both when I try to open the game I want to rip models from:
"Too many commands executed. Stopping dlist processing."

I tested Kirby 64 with the plugin and it worked decently. Is there any way around the dlist error for the other game, or will it just not work?

Thanks for any help or advice.

lemurboy12 ripped from the game, so I'd suggest asking him about it.

Thanks for the link. I used Kirby as a test and can rip from it; it was another game (Aerofighters Assault) that wouldn't work. But I do want to get some models from Kirby, so this link is helpful Smile

I'm pretty sure AF Assault is unrippable anyway based on other comments I've found.

I hate to interrupt, but I am having an odd issue trying to rip models from Mario Party 3.

I installed all the stuff I'd need, got to the capture step, opened my VRML folder and then opened "output.wrl" in Blender only to find...
There was nothing in there! Does this happen often?! Because I tried it with Mario Party 2 and it did the same thing! Yet, when I tried Bomberman 64, it worked fine! Embarassed

Is there something I'm missing? If anyone can help me out here, I'd sure appreciate it!

EDIT: Just tested with Mischief Makers. It worked too, though everything was blue.

RE: [Tutorial] How to Rip N64 Models the Right Way - senjen - 03-09-2013

just letting everybody know that Peardian told me that windows 7 (which i am using) and above doesn't like ripping from 1964 properly aka no textures and a .wrl might appear and the models will have no uv's and the mesh is messed up as well -.-

so someone needs to make a tutorial for ripping 64 models properly from windows 7 and above.
