I think on the later versions of MAME (at least around 0.129 onwards), you can't press F12 while on the tile/palette/tilemap viewer. I just checked on both 0.129 and 0.136 and couldn't be done, unless they changed it in current versions (0.140+). Someone else mentioned it also on another thread here: http://www.spriters-resource.com/community/showthread.php?tid=10779

There is a build of MAME that someone made however that can export tiles from the tile viewer into bmp files.

Yeah but he's obviously using an older version (look at the link in his last post) which doesn't have the blue tile viewer.

The tiles were a bit messy to deal with at that time and I have been very busy with work, so please be patient as it will soon come to be.

I leave you with a sneak peek at the current work-in-progress sheet where you can see that I have not missed out on the lightning attack and other things like Walking in angle sprites and such.

Was checking and reminding just in case and now I understand ya better Wink and DAMN!! It's like a puzzle to how it looks here.. (No wonder why it takes alot of time to rip from Mame.... Whay they can't make Mame like Kawaks?... T_T ) Sure take your time and thanks for deciding to rip Shredder... Cool

indeed. its also a shame that certain games can't get into the tile viewer, Battletoads and SEGA arcade games for example.

now with Krang (of the same game) i'm pretty sure that only the intro to the boss-fight is missing. and of course, his hurt sprite without the electricity surrounding him.

Apparently that Rat King is from an alternate dystopian future or something.

Did these some years ago so if there's mistakes let me know. I think that's all of them except the overworld sprites, if you want me to get those as well let me know (though Vampire already seems to have them all so your could probably combine his sheets and just do a "over-world turtles" sheet.)

Edit: Overworld added
Edit: More added

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 3: Old-School TMNT - Ton - 12-17-2010

Adding the overworld sprites would be a huge help. Thanks, Goemar!

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 3: Old-School TMNT - Deathbringer - 12-17-2010

It's also missing the sideways climbing (which occurs in Area 4 or 5, I forget which).

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 3: Old-School TMNT - Goemar - 12-17-2010

Side ways climbing? Ah now I actually have to play the damn game...

RE: Sprite Ripping Project 3: Old-School TMNT - Deathbringer - 12-17-2010

You'll see it near the beginning.

Ah I thought you meant the ninja rope. Right I'll go grab those. Might as well go through the whole game just to make sure any cut scene sprites aren't missed etc.
