DBZ Budokai ripping problem - Lexou Duck - 06-17-2010

Well, I want to rip files from DBZ Budokai on GC.
I dumped the whole game, thanks to this app i found, and I now have access to the game's internal files.
Problem is, these have the most unsual file type.
Here, I uploaded the folder where i think the models are located(there are
others folders too, but those are mostly script, music and hex)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3P4PD2WL
Now, after observation, I think that the .act files are the models.
My question is : "Do any of you know this filetype ? Google doesn't !"

PS: I already have the textures, the models are the things bothering me.
PPS: If any of you know stuff about the other files, do tell. (.spx ; .pool ; .samp ; .sdir)

I never tried ripping from the budokai games, but since they're multiplatform I'd guess they're an engine specific format. Don't know if you've done this already, but try searching google with something like "dbz budokai .act format" or something similar. I don't know that there is a way to extract modelsdirectly from that series but that's what i'd do to check. Good luck with this. Smile

Well, I've tried that with every type of file I found in that dump, and the only one I got a decent response for is the .adx file, which is a very complex compressed sound file that is very useful because it uses very few space, and has many features. Now the only ones able to uncompress that are the adx company, so...

only models I have is kid goku, Vegeta and the one star Dragonball that's about all. Kid goku has no eyes and requires a little work done on it

The thing is though that those were either made from scratch or are smoothed out versions of the ones in the game. At least I'm guessing based on what you've posted considering that that looks far too smoothed out to be from any last gen game.

It's Based off of GT Kid goku, so yeah.. it's the last and most recent kid goku
