Samus is the best for the underground levels. Her high jump plus the block breaking screw attack means you can cruise over to top of almost every level.

I hate this game. The last few levels are too hard. Stupid, Stupid game...

Seriosly though, the game is very good. Addictive, hard, but very good.

The Dragon Sword is quite possibly the greatest blade in existence.

The only way they could top themselves is doing like Super Mario 2-World Crossover. I would literally be unable to use my computer from the loads I would come.

This game's physics accuracy is so close to each character's original games, its amazing

Its also funny how:
Some people thought that other characters could be better at Mario's game than himself (Before this fan-game came out) and Mario's still ends up being the best to use in this game. I thought Bill R. would be overpowered, and I ended up dying so many times with him. Then, I play Mario and go 4 worlds speed running and only die one time. I mean, who else can beat world 8 as easy as Mario? Just goes to show, that a plumber with 2 moves can beat a cyborg robot with a mega-buster.

more like, if you can only beat the game with mario, then you're pretty much showing you're unable to adapt yourself to new challenes therefore never leaving your confort zone.

@Iceman, uh, I was able to beat the game like a CAKERUN with once with Samus and another time with a combination of Megaman and Bill. And I've never even beaten regular Super Mario Bros.

Really, I think the characters are mostly balanced.

Yeah I'm finding it the complete opposite of what Iceman said. Some of those other characters make it too easy.

The "stuck physics" of some of the characters are definitely a bigger challenge though. Most (if not all) of the extra characters either turn on a dime, or not at all when in mid-air, when Mario is all about controlling your jumps.

Actually, one of the things I noticed is that the physics on Mario especially aren't 100%. Turning after running and jumping immediately after landing both have some lag that contributed to quite a few deaths for me. It's weird that you don't really notice how a Mario platformer "feels" until it's tweaked just a little.
