These sprites are all from mugen. Which is an open source fighting game that anybody can add characters to. Usually all the fighters are rips from Street Fighter, Marvel Vs. Capcom, King of Fighters, etc.. I do not know if this is from a game or not. Most likely it was made entirely by Wucash from The Unlimited. I can not stress how much this character rocks and how bad-ass Wucash must be to make it. The Unlimited's site: http://unlimited.pyche.net/

Oh, I'm pretty familiar with mugen alright, I used to make sprites of it 8 or 9 years ago. Inferis, Panda Z DG and some others from MGBR were great friends of mine, but I used to went by other nicknames.
Anyway, we usually don't accept stuff from Mugen. First, characters like your regular Ryus are ripped from somewhere else, so it's like ripping a rip. Other characters, edited characters like Wonder Woman and Superman are...Well... Custom and edited, and we usually don't upload custom stuff without the creator's consenting.

Well I didn't expect tSR to accept Mugen sprites, they are too hard to classify as you said and the creators might not appreciate it. But anything to help somebody in need. Big Grin

According to what I know after playing it to the disappointing end, here's what's left for this game:
Enemies: Ninjas, Idea Men, Clowns, Aliens
Bosses: Red Scare, Running Guy, Clark Oppeinheimer, Chainsaw Vigilante, Chairface Chippindale, birthday cake?, and a couple of sub bosses.

I don't know the names but there is a character that falls down on you and you get hurt and there's someone that comes up a manhole that hurts you and enemies. There are also objects that hurt you during the platforming stages.

Anyway while working on a rip of my own for this project, I noticed that the sprites of the playable characters of the SNES Captain America and the Avengers are missing some poses that happen during the shooting part of Stage 2 and the underwater part of Stage 3.

If there are any missing sprites of Captain America, please let me know cause the game is compressed but displays most of the tiles in the tileviewer (even though some sprites reuse tiles).

Also I don't think that I can rip everything from this game cause after defeating a boss later in the game (I think it is Crossbones), I get stuck literally after the automated cutscene so I get trapped in the air and can't go any further. Sad I will rip more of the game though.
