We're not actually asking for donations at the moment (hence the lack of donate button) so don't feel bad. All we're requesting is to have a little patience in dealing with the pop-under ads while we look for some better advertisers.

RE: Official "Advertisement Reporting" Topic - Kami - 09-19-2012

No wonder I couldn't find it yesterday when I actually had money in my paypal account to donate.

Edit: Finally found the donate button, I think it may be outdated though.
I will still donate to the site, so I will help keep this site up in any way possible... starting when I get payed next week...

When I am able to donate, what would be a helpful amount? That is, would $5 or $10 be enough to make a significant difference to keeping the site up? Or would something like $30 be more useful?

Whenever I login (While click to type my username in) I get a more than full-screen window advertising Tank Walls or some in-browser Battlefield...

RE: Official "Advertisement Reporting" Topic - Dazz - 09-22-2012

I've decided to drop the pop-under ads.

I don't give a shit, they're so irritating that I'd rather go out of pocket than make 250,000 people suffer that shit.

RE: Official "Advertisement Reporting" Topic - Garamonde - 09-22-2012

I was fine with them but ... Sad
I wonder where the site is going to end up now...

RE: Official "Advertisement Reporting" Topic - Kami - 09-22-2012

Same here...

RE: Official "Advertisement Reporting" Topic - Goemar - 09-22-2012

The ones at the bottom of the screen never bothered me at all...

RE: Official "Advertisement Reporting" Topic - Kami - 09-22-2012

I'd rather have those pop-ups appear and be able to keep the site running, than to not have them and have a chance to risk losing the site later.

We can't lose this place.

RE: Official "Advertisement Reporting" Topic - Virt - 09-22-2012

If there's some other form of advertising you could put on the site I'd be glad as long as they're not pop-unders. I can't really think of anything at the moment, but if I do, I'll let you know. Smile

RE: Official "Advertisement Reporting" Topic - TGE - 09-22-2012

You could add an add post every 5 posts or so, and add adds on the side of the site. There are more ways to earn moeny instead of using the horrible pop ups. But yeah, do what needs to be done.
Everything is better then nothing.

So I would like to report this ad for being too mature for tSR's younger users.

It shows up on mine too. I don't look up anything that would spur that ad, except maybe online gaming.

wait does that mean that whatever games you play or search up comes over and becomes an ad? or I might be getting wrong what Kriven said
