Saw these yesterday. As a concept, some of them are pretty rad, but overall they all felt like the artist was either trying to hard or not trying hard enough.
Pretty fond of Paras and Parasect though. Smile

ahhh I love things like this. it's certainly a different take on Pokemon (instead of humanizing or making them more realistic or something).

They... dont' really look like traditional japanese illustrations to me
I mean other than the texture and lineweight

the style isn't really that close :c

same as epistaxis. it sacrifices too much the style just to keep the pokemon readable.

they shouldve made some of the pokemon look more closely to what they were originally based off, i mean 60% of pokemon were based off japanese folktale monsters
