RE: Donkey Kong - Tarvonas - 07-07-2010

While at first look I wasn't sure, I now see how the furless DK actually fits the style better. It looks clean, and of course, it'll be easier to animate. Nice work, Solink! Big Grin

RE: Donkey Kong - Alpha Six - 07-07-2010

I'm not sure how it looks in comparison with the old one, but the old one had way too fuckin' many colors.

RE: Donkey Kong - Solink - 07-07-2010

I tried fixed the shading :]

There's like, five unnecessary colors in the skin palette.

I got rid of them.

That is one sexy new design. Looks like it would be leagues easier to work with than that over-complicated fur texture before.

RE: Donkey Kong - Koopaul - 07-08-2010

Don't like the new details on the hands though.

RE: Donkey Kong - ectoBiologist - 07-11-2010

Wow. It looks miles better.
Although, I do agree with Koopaul. His hands look unnatural.

RE: Donkey Kong - nicktheslayer - 07-15-2010

The fingers are too long, the back of his hand isnt big enough.

And this isnt to say mine was bad, right? Just too realistic to animate?

RE: Donkey Kong - Locked Achievement - 07-15-2010

Yours was amazing. It was just the most awkward thing to work with, so we got rid of the fur. Thats all.

RE: Donkey Kong - nicktheslayer - 07-18-2010

Well, back on topic, i think we could just fix the fingers, and make his idle next, i see no problem with anything else.

RE: Donkey Kong - Koopaul - 07-29-2010

I think the fur looks too smooth now. Obviously AA isn't the answer but perhaps making parts of the shadows jagged will emphasize that this is fur, not rubber.

RE: Donkey Kong - Iceman404 - 07-29-2010

I think it looks excellent. But, it just feels a bit empty. shade him in some more? Right now there's no light source on his body.
