RE: Geno and Mallow M&L - Koopaul - 11-03-2008

Yeah but it would be boring to copy everything exactly like Mario & Luigi.

RE: Geno and Mallow M&L - S-Cpu - 11-04-2008

Some ideas for bros. moves:
Fire mallow away with geno's cannon!
Zap geno using mallow and make him shoot electrified bullets/arms/whatever.
Make geno supersize mallows cymbals or something.
Swing geno around in circles while using a spell !(forgot the name of it)
I hope that helps!

Edit: oh and while were at it, why not mallows hp-rain spell?

RE: Geno and Mallow M&L - Angelglory - 11-04-2008

Or instead of Mallow freezing Geno, Geno could fire at Mallow's feet and they both take off running.

I dunno, I suck at this.

RE: Geno and Mallow M&L - Ton - 11-04-2008

Some of my ideas were;

-Shooting Mallow out of the cannon, obviously.
-Geno uses the "nodes" that come out of his arms as conductors, Mallow hits them with lightning, electricity hits enemies. (See: Spire from Chrono Trigger, but the electric effect is closer to Lightning 2)
-Would give us an opportunity to make a "burned" Geno for a messed up button sequence.

OTHER-
-Mallow uses cymbals instead of a hammer. He also doesn't jump well.
-Geno Uses an array of weapons such at rocket arm, finger shot, and Geno beam.
-Mallow's top half leaves his pants to catch up with him in some animations.
-Geno's dance is something like Luigi's, but he marches in place like a toy soldier.
-Remember: Mallow is something of a coward and a mage; Geno is a melee fighter, though ranged.
-Mallow is much more expressive. Especially since his arms can stretch and his torso can come off of his pants.

RE: Geno and Mallow M&L - Koopaul - 11-04-2008

If Mallow uses his symbols, does that mean Geno would be squashed skinny like paper?

RE: Geno and Mallow M&L - Ton - 11-04-2008

Haha, I didn't think about him using the cymbals on Geno. What would Geno do after being flattened?

RE: Geno and Mallow M&L - Koopaul - 11-04-2008

After being flattened? Why think of Paper Mario 2 my friend! He could pass through bars and cracks.

RE: Geno and Mallow M&L - Ton - 11-04-2008

Oh, I meant in-battle. But that's a good idea as well.

RE: Geno and Mallow M&L - Angelglory - 11-04-2008

For in-battle, maybe Mallow could flatten Geno then fold him into a paper airplane and throw him at the enemies?

RE: Geno and Mallow M&L - A.J. Nitro - 11-04-2008

Geno is made of wood, and I'm sure Mallow doesn't weigh as much as Wario. Think about that.

RE: Geno and Mallow M&L - Ton - 11-04-2008

Paper airplane seems pretty random.

RE: Geno and Mallow M&L - Koopaul - 11-04-2008

I was thinking in battle:

1. Mallow stand behind Geno to clap him with his symbols.
-Press button correctly: Geno will become flat as paper.
-Press incorrectly: Geno is slapped forward by symbols and spins out of control into the enemy.

2. Mallow prepares to stomp on top of paper Geno.
-Press button correctly: Mallow will land on Geno coiling him up like a wheel.
-Press incorrectly: Mallow will bounce off of Geno and roll into enemy.

3. Mallow rides on wheel Geno into the enemy.
-Press button correctly: Extra damage. And bounce back to normal.
-Press incorrectly: Mallow falls backwards when hitting the enemy, and Geno rolls back over Mallow.

I think I'll do like Starpower and say let's work on the basics for now.

RE: Geno and Mallow M&L - A.J. Nitro - 11-04-2008

Agreed. Bros. moves would be the last thing on the to-do list.

Well you asked about that in battle.

Anyway, just make sure that the basic moves in battle are the same outside of battle.
