It looks more serious, but the hand shaking is kind of throwing me off.

Geno looks a little stiff, bend the knees a little might help.

Yeah, the hand twitch is a bit odd. How about this? If his primary attack is to use his hand/arm as a gun, why would he be "putting up his dukes"? What would be a more natural pose?

Instead of letting his hands shake, could I just open and close his eyes momentarily? This will have 7 or more different frames on the animation rather than having 4.

Besides putting his fists up, I could let those arms go down. While the arms are down, I could move them a little but not in a circular motion. As the arms are moving, I could make him breathe. I could also open and close his eyes after he completely moves his arms a little. What makes him more natural is basically putting his arms down which will make him ready to draw, aim, and shoot his cannon. This image corresponds to how cowboys in the Wild West prepare to draw their guns. Does this sound natural to Geno?

It sounds like a step in the right direction. Smile

Geno's idle has been updated.

The idle animation looks pretty good to me. Though maybe the cape should be animated a little bit too.

RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - Ton - 06-12-2013

It's smooth, but a bit... boring?

What Ton said. Plus, he looks like he's leaning back too much.
I'm one to talk; having made the same mistake myself many times, but still.

Geno has a new idle which is keeping is arms crossed.

I think he should look the regular standing idol for a bit before going to the cross arm animation, but other then that it looks really good.

RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - Ton - 06-25-2013

If he's going to cross his arms, I'd make the cape look closer to a Clint Eastwood style poncho that rests over his arms and billows open when he "draws his gun" to fire.

RE: Geno Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (Battle) - megamario1234 - 12-18-2013

Update. I just changed Geno's cape to make it more like Clint Eastwood style.
