Cheat codes and passwords.
Why did they die? They were cool.

Ah! I'm rubbing off eh?

But about Cloud Gaming (never got to finish that) Cloud gaming is streaming games from a server instead of downloading them. It is said to be used for a new thing called OnLive. Either way this will really change games. If a game is streamed then it can constantly be expanded with ease.

So more expansions, is something I hope to see in the future, with these new means.

Koopaul, I wouldn't call that rubbing off.

Viper, It's because these days people think that cheating is bad and is for pansys only.

Guess not. But he misses something from the past? Sounds like nostalgia to me.

RE: Features You'd Like to See More in Games - Maxpphire - 06-02-2010

Yes but wanting cheats again is not the same as whining about why video game types have changed since the past. Everyone Nostalgias at times, not just you.

Okay I'm sorry... Let's not start this up again. Just realize that being sick of grizzly soldiers IS legitimate. Okay truce?

Can you guys stop arguing with Koopaul please? I'm sick and tired of seeing everyone disrespect him for his opinions!
If he likes nostalgia, he likes nostalgia! Its a simple opinionated matter!
If you don't like nostalgia, thats okay, but you still have to respect the fact that he does.

i could disrespect your opinions a bit more if you'd rather, you never did bother to try and reply to my arguments

also
people

there is a difference between nostalgia for the sake of nostalgia, and between Actual Objective Quality.

because cheat codes in the present are too fucking easy. you just buy an action replay, put it in, and BAM you've got a million of everything. everybody knows about them, the option is always there, nobody gives a fuck. during the NES or SNES, it was a hell of a lot more obscure. people cared because they were usually vaguely interesting and harder to obtain/

i prefer mystery over shallow simple-mindedness anyday

So... anyway. I think people need to start working on their own engines you know? A lot of people use a modded Unreal engine. I think that may limit them a little.

stop arguing with the people who argue with koopaul
it doesn't really concern you

theres no need to respect the fact that he does. we have the right to state our opinion as well as contradict his if we want to.

RE: Features You'd Like to See More in Games - triptych - 06-02-2010

RE: Features You'd Like to See More in Games - PrettyNier - 06-02-2010

agreed. SE just made crystal tools a few years back to make their next gen games with :- ) i'd like to see more personal engines.

Might just be me, but I'd at least like the option to play a FPS with one Control Stick (Goldeneye/Metroid Prime Style)
