RE: 'Pokemon World' - A.J. Nitro - 05-09-2010

Don't the trainers in Battle Revolution have losing poses? Maybe you could base his losing poses off of those?

RE: 'Pokemon World' - JoshR691 - 05-09-2010

Yes, Ekans is next, I didn't think I made it to suoivbo =P

And yeah, I was thinking about using something similar to the 'Cool Trainers' Loss animation (which is basically flinging his arm like he's saying 'darn')

RE: 'Pokemon World' - Neslug - 05-09-2010

Hey Josh-man, would you mind if I added some poses / frames to some of your Pokémon sheets (and then posted them back here of course)? Just want to help out a bit since I'm having a spriter's block and can't scratch at the moment.

That Castform's pretty cool, looking forward to Ekans aswell.

My only critique on Castform is the outline between the cloud and the head on Sunny Castform. It stands out.

So you're going to be starting on Gen 5 soon then? I definately look forward to that!

Sure! I know how it feels to have Spriter's Block, I've had one for almost a month now (although it could be because I'm trying to develop my own style for my Original Stuff)

If you do want credit, just slap it on the tag...I know it's my one man project, but I'm getting flexible about that (No, this does not mean anyone can make sheets for the project, I'll still be handling that)

Also, while I'm on the topic of 'changing' the Project I was thinking For the Move Substitute I could either keep it what it's been for the entire Series, or do something new and make something like the Pokemon Ranch/Rumble games

...Just throwing that out there, but I would assume if this were to eventually become a game, they'd probably take up too much space, and in the end might not even be worth it...

I think the Substitute doll from the main games would be the best option. It's simple, and it works.

Speaking of move effects, are you planning to do another set, or...

RE: 'Pokemon World' - Ganonthegreat - 05-10-2010

Alot of your sprites will be a game, the majority of the Pokéball Pokémon in SSF2 were developed from your sprites. So expect to see alot of your work in that.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - juhis - 05-10-2010

Your Castform sprite sheet is stunning, but I really hate that you switch one style on to the next, because what will be like if Cubone meets Gible, because you should prefer one style, not other styles at the same time!

RE: 'Pokemon World' - Neslug - 05-10-2010

Which is why he's updating the older sprites to his newer style.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - JoshR691 - 05-10-2010

@ Neslug: Alright then, I'll stick with the Substitute Doll, and I'll be making my own effects....Eventually, although it's going to be hard finding a video of every Pokemon Move (and yes, I'll most likely wait until the 5th Gen comes out since it will most likely have more moves =P)

@ juhis: Pretty much what Neslug said. I honestly don't see a problem with Cubone & Gible on the same screen together, unless you're talking about the original sheet from the start of this project which is long gone

RE: 'Pokemon World' - Ganonthegreat - 05-10-2010

I just stacked up Cubone to Gible, Gible's quite taller, but that's it.

RE: 'Pokemon World' - Karadom - 05-10-2010

I know this question mitght be really obvious, but for the trainers list, why are there two of the same trainer for some of them?

Also one slightly unrelated question: What is your favorite pokemon?

RE: 'Pokemon World' - JoshR691 - 05-10-2010

Gible's 2'04" Cubone's 1'04" so the size difference of 10 pixels is fine

There's two Trainers in each part because, well...Each Trainer has two different sets of clothes (or in Kris & Lyra's case, two different characters that fill the exact same role [Yes, I know, Kris didn't have a Role if you chose Gold in Crystal, but she's still the Female Trainer])

There's a 3-way tie for My Favorite Pokemon: Charizard, Raichu & Mew

RE: 'Pokemon World' - KageX - 05-11-2010

I'm just curious, when you redo Blue will you be adding in his gym leader and classic attire?

RE: 'Pokemon World' - JoshR691 - 05-11-2010

Most likely both, since his Role in the G/R/B/Y/FR/LG is different from his role in G/S/C/HG/SS...Misty would probably be another one with both Designs...and maybe Blaine too (I can't remember if he had a Cane in G/R/B/Y/FR/LG)...and Giovanni will have his 2 designs too
