all my unfinished sprites
totally didnt stop doing those because they were shitty ideas that looked shitty

all my unfinished attempts at games
none of those were abandoned because the games were legitimately stupid ideas(don't bullshit yourself, if you're halfway competent, you should know they were)

so yeah,
i'm definitely gonna quit this just for shits and giggles peace yall

RE: omg pokemon - triptych - 04-01-2010

not much of an update per se

but uh
tried to get the finished sprites to fit in with larvitar a bit more
[Image: pokemonomg.png]
hello pillowshaded croagunk knee
fixing that now

RE: omg pokemon - Mabelma - 04-01-2010

The problem I am seeing with larvitar and aron is that they both look like they have to many shades compared to the rest of the characters. The other thing is that the colors on both of them are really dull compared to the vivid color scheme you have with the other pokemons. Apart from that every pokemon seems unique and just amazing. I wouldn't mind playing a pokemon game with this kind of graphics in it. Keep up the great work and evee and luxray look hilarious with those faces.

RE: omg pokemon - triptych - 04-01-2010

the problem i'm having with larvitar and aron though is that they are legitimately that dull
i've tried saturating them more(which is admittedly really fun) but have not been able to come up with something that isn't shit

i'll give it another go though
also they really dont have more shades so im not sure how to remove that effect
[Image: pokemonomg.png]
actually that might have done it
for larvitar anyways i dont like arons colors now

RE: omg pokemon - Mabelma - 04-01-2010

It could be the fact that there pallete is to dull that's giving that effect. Also may I suggest you go for a more vivid yet dull compare pallete. Not so vivid but still vivid would make this guys shine and you can finally move on to the other guys. Maybe I could help out if you let me. Do you think I can try if I can come up with a more suitable pallete. It's your style so I think it's better if you do it but sometimes great minds like you need a little help.

RE: omg pokemon - triptych - 04-01-2010

no aron is legitimately that dull, guy
you can't have a vibrant grey
well you can but
there has never been anything with him being vibrant in any way

RE: omg pokemon - Mabelma - 04-01-2010

I guess you are right with aron.
The edit did it for larvitar. He is now in style epic.

I think you should move back a little to the grey area with aron but not that much, right now you are getting there with the blues but is too blue right now.
I tried but then I saw you edited and it works so forget about it.

Here's what I could come up for Aron. It may be a little too vivid but you be the judge of that.

RE: omg pokemon - Lemon - 04-02-2010

He looks too well shaded for such a small Pokémon, imo.

^^^judging from this ref, it looks like it should have a rounder face
you're trying to give it more depth than it needs :L
