doubt that, usually everyone can activate japan only events using an Action Replay.

even if the above reason isn't exactly official, There is a chance that there is going to be a mystery gift event of some sort. maybe through the Pokemon Scrabble game coming up on the wii,

That wasn't the point. You can't LEGITLY obtain Celebi outside Japan. The first time it was stupid enough, but there was no reason why the event should've been blocked in Pokemon Coliseum.

RE: POKEMON GSC REMAKE - JarJar - 07-08-2009

theyre not gonna block it this time you know if its an in-game event.

we've been getting every event japan has lately guys.

RE: POKEMON GSC REMAKE - Vipershark - 07-08-2009

there was no reason you shouldn't ave been able to get it in gsc
There was a cutscene and everything. They took it out.

RE: POKEMON GSC REMAKE - JarJar - 07-08-2009

well we have the remake to look foward to, they arent gonna remake the damn flaws of the overseas version.

Grass: Treecko family
Water: Totodile family with piplup family in a close second and then blastoise right behind because water cannons
Fire: Charizard. End of discussion. well actually cyndaquil is cool too so he gets second.

You seriously ranking them on looks? Lame~

Sceptile>Torterra=Venusaur>mouldy shit>Meganium
Swampert>Feraligatr (4th Gen)>Empoleon>Blastoise>Feraligatr (Other Gens)
Infernape>Blaziken>Charizard>Typhlosion

3rd Gen gave us some amazingly combat-worthy starters. I dunno why RSE gets hate.

RE: POKEMON GSC REMAKE - Vipershark - 07-08-2009

because the game itself was boring, underwhelming, and extremely slow

RE: POKEMON GSC REMAKE - GrooveMan.exe - 07-08-2009

You're calling Gen 3 slow having played D/P (Altered in Plat)? Are you sure you're thinking straight?

I found GSC originally underwhelimg, since it had so little content. It's for the best that they're remaking it, if only so you can do things this time.

i agree, swampert is literally the best water starter(since it can take a hit from virtually any regular attack that isnt grass)
sceptile's speed is just deadly for a grass type
and blaziken's power is enough to instantly KO opponents

RE: POKEMON GSC REMAKE - Vipershark - 07-08-2009

r/s/e was boring considering the fact that the gba was like more than 4 times as powerful as the gbc yet they made a WORSE game than gsc
and the music was bad too
they used that "horn" sound too much
and diamond doesn't feel slow to me at all

Also one of the most complained about flaws with DP is how everything was slowed down, including and especially the Surfing speed. You're grasping at straws.

This /\

While r/s/e had some good features added like the move option for the PC, automatically sending a pokemon to a different box if your current one was full and many others, the game itself was worse than the older ones. FireRed and LeafGreen were good, but the music for them just wasn't good compared to the original tunes. Diamond and Pearl were great.

RE: POKEMON GSC REMAKE - mozzy - 07-08-2009

Generally agreed upon order, no:

GSC>DPPT>RBY>RSE

(Just because RBY were the originals doesn't make them the best!!!!!!!)

RE: POKEMON GSC REMAKE - Shadowth117 - 07-08-2009

You for got fr/lg

GSC>DPPT>FRLG>RBY>RSE

RE: POKEMON GSC REMAKE - DioShiba - 07-08-2009

Do remakes even count?

RE: POKEMON GSC REMAKE - GrooveMan.exe - 07-08-2009

Considering it has different mechanics and additional content, yes.

Platinum>Emerald>FR/LG>Crystal>Yellow, since the 3rd versions are really the only ones that can be considered representatives of the Gen, what with having additional content.
