Even if you don't include the feet, the legs need to be changed so that they don't look like stumps.
Look at at the reference image there; the legs are somewhat chubby, but they still look like legs.
Yours look more like triangles glued to their bodies.
edit- Also, something needs to be done to fix the nose on the red pikmin, but I'm not sure how to help there. Maybe someone else can figure it out.

The triangle legs are fine for sprites of this size. You can't really include details like that in sprites like this.
The problem is the shitty palette, bad animations, sloppy shading, and they're all leaning forward?????

try making yellow's ears more like the ref. They don't stick out and/or aren't big enough IMO

I love the idea, look good :p. Pikmins look pretty good, but I would apply more shades to Bulbmin, I'm sure they will look better :p.
