Uh ... the Zelda DLC is free.

RE: E Three Two Thousand Fourteen - Koopaul - 06-09-2014

First of all I don't even know how the player managed to do what he did in that video because I have never experienced that.

Secondly people's reactions to the game were mixed. Some people hated it, some people loved it, some people thought the 3DS version was better, some people thought the Wii U version was better.

In my opinion this is the closest a 3D Sonic game came to designing levels in the fashion of the Genesis games. There's a real emphasis on exploration and alternate paths that Colors and Generations failed to do thanks to their very linear levels and constant blasting forward. You are actually allowed to walk slowly and turn around to look for secrets! Something I couldn't do in Sonic games for years.

The speed in this game is an option and manageable. The real problem lies with the parkour system. Its not very intuitive nor responsive. If they fix the parkour (or just get rid of it) in the next game, things will be great!

I dunno, I hated the level design in Lost World and thought it was some of the most linear and boring in the entire series. Nothing but tubes and spheres gets kinda boring, and the whole crazy "Sonic's so fast he can run up walls!" thing loses its impact with continual gravity gimmicks.

And the gameplay was just kinda shit. And the story was even more kinda shit. And they could have had world designs that weren't just ripped straight out of a Mario game. Or straight up recoloured from previous worlds.

like it's gotten so bad to where we actually praise sonic games just for not being complete shit

I respect your opinion, but I honestly think Generations is one of the best Sonic games ever. I mean, you get to re-visit all of these levels from the series' past and present, with both Genesis-era Sonic and modern Sonic. But then again, I was born and raised on the Sonic series, so I am quite biased.

Feel free to throw rocks at me, I don't care.

It's sad how much of a controversial topic Sonic is, he's just that disappointing now.

From what I looked up, Conker is going to make a guest appearance in a game called Project Spark, which may or may not be anything like Little Big Planet. In that context, Rare is basically giving us a chance to make our own Conker games instead of having the fan continue to talk to them about it.

I'm still excited.
IGN's stream is working a million times better than Twitch's.
