Oh, found my videos, did you? Very nice. Anyway, as some of you have stated, I am working on an editor for the game, which will eventually be able to rip the sprites. However, the only way to get them right now is to take snapshots and animate them this way.

Anyway, here is a beta coin sprite that I found by changing random enemy sprites, and I have animated it (5 sprites become the main animation):

Edit: Seems like my previous edit did not make it through... Odd. Anyway, I am amazed that my latest video was already posted here, lol, considering that it has only been out for a few ours now.

Also, apparently, the only sprites that show up in tile editing programs are some graphics from Mario Bros.

One more thing, before I upload my next video... Remember Golden Beanie? I can confirm that there is also a Golden Bullet Bill.

Hm... I am planning on making some spritesheets soon, although I promised someone Olimar sprites a while back, so those should come first. However, I can make that Samus one, probably some time tomorrow. I myself want to rip some of the other beta sprites, like the beta Lady Lima and the cloaked person, so you can expect some of these sprites as well.

Also, I had no intention of showing sprites in video form just for showing sprites. After all, my videos all have something to do with hacking, not sprite viewing (but finding the sprites is a nice bonus).

Edit: By "gimped version of the tool," you mean the editor? To be honest, I have no idea how to decompress anything from this game yet. If I knew how, my last video would have had Yoshi instead of Luigi.

Thanks, I can see why.

Hm... Perhaps the next video will not be in battle... However, there will be more beta sprites. This time, I am going to focus on some that are unrelated to the cameo sprites, if you all don't mind. It is unfortunate that Nintendo did not fully program the characters, but at least there are sprites to be happy about.

Kind of hard ot miss that. However, please don't forget that finding these sprites isn't 100% my findings (well, finding the sprites are, but not the ability to change them). You must remember that charleysdrpepper of Yoshi's Lighthouse has helped a lot with hacking the game too.

Don't worry, as long as you mention to which people the credit goes to. :] And I presume you have permission, so you're free to rip them and submit them; as your choice.

For the M&L spriters & fans, this is like the stop'nswop for the BanjoKazooie fans.
But for example all the other elements, are always interesting. heck, even pallate swaps (like the golden bullet bill) is as fascinating. I remember SMRPG had similar beta content, aswell as Chrono Trigger. Big Grin

Ah yes, true enough. I am hoping that there will be more Golden Enemies though (it would be nice if there were Amayzee Daizees, but I am doubtful of this).

Edit: Oh yeah, remember that beta coin that I uploaded? I had forgotten that it was made of four sprites, not 5. Also, here is the Red Coin, also a beta sprite.
