If I had to choose, it'd be console.
But really, there is no telling which is better in general. It's like comparing apples (the fruit) with oranges.

Took me a good 5 years (from the start of using Steam) to get a good gaming computer. If you have money, PC gaming is superior. If not, consoles. That's how I see it.
