RE: New Super Mario Bros. Wii - Random Talking Bush - 12-12-2011

Nintendo's weird like that. The NSMBWii models have specular channels built right into the default textures (which is why the Koopalings' eyes are buggered up, for example). It would probably be a good idea to get an image-editing program capable of editing TGA alpha channels to separate those into separate images. Or I can do so, if you'd like me to.

RE: New Super Mario Bros. Wii - Garamonde - 12-12-2011

Honestly I'm not sure how to do that... I figured the model was fine how it was, but, if you don't mind... I'd appreciate it a lot... unless it's not super complicated to do, then I could give it a stab I suppose.

Nah, it's not complicated to do. Piece of cake to do in Paint Shop Pro.

Hammer Bro! All the bros' colored textures are included, too.

Last one for the night! Also, I don't think I need to post this in my submission thread anymore unless it's my own project.

Agreed. Very awesome.

RE: New Super Mario Bros. Wii - A.J. Nitro - 12-13-2011

Quick question, but is it nessesary to have 2 or more preview icons? Like how I have Kamek and the broom?

RE: New Super Mario Bros. Wii - John2k4 - 12-13-2011

The Bob-omb was kinda similar; it had two models (bomb and parachute), and I just put the chute off to the corner...

RE: New Super Mario Bros. Wii - Garamonde - 12-13-2011

It'd be better A.J., so you can see all the objects that come with the characters well. Especially when the file has as many models as Lemmy did...

RE: New Super Mario Bros. Wii - furrari - 12-13-2011

mario ftw

RE: New Super Mario Bros. Wii - Peardian - 12-13-2011

It's nice to have renders of the models, but each submission will only have one big preview image. It would be better to have one image with all of the models in it at the same time. Wink

Anyway, I was hoping we'd eventually get models from this game! Hooray for brres! Big Grin

RE: New Super Mario Bros. Wii - Garamonde - 12-13-2011

Yay welcome back! Honestly I thought you were playing Return to Dreamland all this time. Shy

But I actually find it easier for each model to have their own preview even if they aren't used so I won't feel worried about trying to cram 5 models in one preview... but I do understand about that so I'll try it I guess (oh and, I notice the previews aren't actually used, but the old download button still is... I wonder if that will be in the new site).

RE: New Super Mario Bros. Wii - Peardian - 12-13-2011

And with that, all of the models currently posted are up! Well, except for the three broken enemies.

RE: New Super Mario Bros. Wii - A.J. Nitro - 12-13-2011

Thanks! Now here's Koopa Troopa. The only difference between the regular Koopa and the fence climbing Koopa are the hands. Oh, and the Paratroopa wings are separate models.
