RE: Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon - Roket - 12-10-2010

Quote:yes, I've seen this also in my RAM-viewer for PSX, you can have unlimited wrong palettes for a single sprite. I think it's clear that they didn't use this palette on these three frames, it's just messed up.
In any case, we do not knowSmile.
It happens sometimes wonder what is still playing inside. Thank you very much expressed Makron, who discovered these unknown spritesWink.
Here are some more enemies. Some are also unknown sprites, which were hidden in the archives of the gameSmile.

RE: Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon - Ton - 12-16-2010

Nice! Is that how you spell the Americanized names?

Most of the monsters in Sailor Moon never really had Americanized names.

RE: Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon - Ton - 12-16-2010

I mean like Zoicite, etc.

RE: Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon - esreveR - 12-17-2010

Someone told me this game sucked.

But now I'm starting to wonder otherwise...

Also, how do you find unused data in that thing? Do you, like, rip the tiles or something? Because MAME isn't too good about showing the 16px tiles.

In fact, I heard somewhere that the MAME devs intentionally left them out for fear that CAVE would sue them upside the ass or some shit.

Names like the right, well at least I never mind if they will change to another optionWink.

Hack games with special codes on a palette for the sprites and stuff. Only they do not operate on all versions of MAME machines.

Well then left to wonder why they did not use spritesRolleyes. At least they left them, and we can watch themSmile. Well, for me they did not depart greatly cats - some small and rough paletteGonna Puke.
Oh, sorry, looked Zoisait incorrectly configured.

RE: Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon - Ton - 12-17-2010

Does your method work with other arcade games like, say, the Simpsons, or TMNT games, or X-Men?

RE: Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon - Davy Jones - 12-17-2010

very weird, Wikipedia ignores their Americanized names (or I'm blind):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sailor_Moon

Does this mean they are US-only and every other country used the original names (like Germany)?

The North American version changed the names of some characters but left some the same. I'm not sure about other versions though but some of them used translated versions like instead of using "Usagi" they used the meaning of Usagi which is "Bunny".
