Change the name of the Fangames sub-forum to "Game Development."

RE: Calling all suggestions - Sengir - 01-21-2010

I think "Game Development" should be its own forum outside of "Sprite Discussion"

I agree. It can fit in the "other stuff" section. It'd work perfectly under gaming discussion.

I made a topic about it earlier in there without realizing we had this thread, but yeah I think it would probably help that forum gain a bit more attention as well.

otherwise i agree with this idea.

RE: Calling all suggestions - Locked Achievement - 01-24-2010

How about a 'custom characters' section, where people can create their own characters and sprite sheet maybe?

RE: Calling all suggestions - Dazz - 01-24-2010

No.

RE: Calling all suggestions - Vipershark - 01-24-2010

Requesting that you move game development out of "The Spriters Resource" section and into "Other Stuff" section under Game discussion because technically game development isn't spriting

RE: Calling all suggestions - Dazz - 01-24-2010

ARE YOU PEOPLE NEVER HAPPY!?

No, I'm leaving it there so that people see it a lot more.

I think its just a minority of vocal people that are really bothered by it anyway.

well, you uh
did say calling all suggestions.

anyway, suggestion:
Make the real life forum so that you can only see if if you're registered and logged in like it was on PT. (and how spamhaul currently is.)
It's not a huge deal or anything, but this prevents the googlebots and unregistered users from looking around in there and caching some stuff in there that people probably wouldn't want "getting out".

RE: Calling all suggestions - Goemar - 01-26-2010

Yeah, that makes sense I guess. Though putting things you don't want getting out online is well, dumb. But I get what you mean.
I second this.

Why is there a 'calling all suggestions' and a suggestions thread...

Anyway, I suggest that the forum button on the main site is bigger or there's at least a gap between it and the console selection buttons. The update names (such as "long time no see") could also be put in bold, might look nicer. Searching by spriter/ripper would also be cool, if not a bit pointless.
The Affiliate buttons should also be more visible. Having to go through resources and then affiliates is a bit much, would it really be so hard to put them on the main page some how?

To be honest, unless they're in the footer, affiliates usually make pages look way too busy and ugly.

RE: Calling all suggestions - Goemar - 01-26-2010

There's an empty space in the left banner. Even if one of those auto-scrolly things have to be used if there's too many it's still better than what's currently used. For us affiliates anyway.

MAIN SITE SUGGESTIONS.

Stop asking for things regarding the forum, that's not what this thread was for.

RE: Calling all suggestions - Adam - 01-26-2010

Although, some of the suggestions for the forum have been good ones. I for one agree with the Real Life forum being viewable to members only, especially because sometimes people get deep into their personal lives.

However, if you'd like to make a suggestion for the forums, you can gladly do it here.
