RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Baegal - 12-09-2009

that's what I was thinking.

What if when he comes out of the trophy, he laughs and flies directly up out of the screen (he'll be looking at the sky)
then, he'll descend into the center of the screen, and laugh while his hat is spitting out poison gas.

Also he should be in his MLSS outfit because it fits him better as an assist trophy, and the hat looks better like that

I'm gonna make my own sprite soon

It seems like everybody is for the fly to the center and spray poison gas thing for Fawful.

Although this raises the question of if the Nintendog should be removed or not since it goes and covers the screen too. That is, unless I'm misinterpreting something about how Fawful would work.

I picture it being more like Koffing or Weezing, but I think it would be cooler if he fires the gas, moves elsewhere, fires the gas again, etc.

Ah okay I see what you're saying. That makes a lot more sense than what I was thinking.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Teddy The Elite - 12-10-2009

What if he just stands in place untill you hit him? Then he like gets startled, and runs around afraid?

I like this. What if you stay in the gas it either slows you down or hurts you?

Also, Nintendog would be hard to sprite, because of the many animations. If the hurting doesn't work, he could replace nintendog

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Kriven - 12-10-2009

I vote that the Duck Hunt Dog replaces Nintendog Wink

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Koopaul - 12-10-2009

"Nintendog would be hard to sprite"

Not really you just make the paws and tongue move up and people won't complain.

I think we can make the Duck Hunt Dog do something more important than that.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Kitsu - 12-10-2009

Yes. And he should just use blown-up NES sprites.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Koopaul - 12-10-2009

No Duck Hunt Dog should do something cooler.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Ton - 12-11-2009

Isn't Duck Hunt a stage?

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Koopaul - 12-11-2009

Hm... Yeah the problem with that topic Ton is well you haven't made a list. No one knows what's a stage or not.

Well, true, but nintendog was kinda stupid IMO. I think he needs to be replaced by someone cooler like fawful

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Kitsu - 12-11-2009

From Nintendo's point of view, Nintendog was not stupid. They felt it warranted representation because it was recent successful Nintendo franchise.

From a more core gamer's point of view, yeah, Nintendog was pretty stupid. Worst AT in the game, since it hurts everyone except the computer characters, who couldn't care less about the condition of the screen. Just like Togepi making the screen dark.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Chaoxys - 12-11-2009

Well, I just finished Spirit Tracks (good game btw), so I'd like to make 3 suggestions based on it, and you can feel free talk them over.

Not sure if it counts as spoilers so i made the text white to be safe.

Malladus- He takes over a random character and begins running about attacking at random, targeting everyone but the person who summoned him and doing more damage than normal. If it's only 2 people, he will take over the summoner.

Cole- He will send out the electric mice that will run about the stage. If one hits a player, Cole will either make them attack others, or just walk them off the stage.

Byrne- He will hop about while launching his hand at people. If he is hit with an attack, he will charge at players.

Obviously I'm not saying all of these, I'm jsut giving lots of options, and if not these, I'd honestly love to see Linebeck as an AT, although I have no idea what he could do.
