RE: Pokemon Pink - BBmolla - 07-20-2010

Hello.

There's only about 6 pokemon whom still need to be sprited, and I feel that this amazing project should be completed so I've decided to help.

I gave Nidorino a shot. The tutorial is broken so I hope I did the anti aliasing correctly. It's the one top left.

Based upon this image.

Criticism please.

RE: Pokemon Pink - Hoeloe - 07-20-2010

It looks like you traced over it and flipped it. Don't do that. Also, the shading makes it look very flat.

RE: Pokemon Pink - BBmolla - 07-20-2010

Define "traced it over". I sprited it while looking at the reference, but I didn't actually draw over it or anything. If it's an issue I can change the pose.

I'll see what I can do with the shading.

The pose of the new one looks a little too much like its predecessor.

Also I want to help but I can't see the cute dispute.

@BBmolla: Six? lol there's more than six that haven't even been touched, plus a good chunk of what we have needs heavy editing. We are pretty close though, glad you're willing to give your support.

I like Nidorino's pose but he's too fat, his face is too round, his legs look small and disjointed. It seems like you get the style but the line art needs a lot of work.

It wasn't that important, basically just said to avoid generic poses. it made suggestions like creating a pose that reflects the Pokemon's attitude in the anime or something. it went on to say to make an nice pose (or at least a nice angle), but retain accuracy. I don't have it anymore and can't be bothered to remake it.

Update.
-did Venomoth
-edited haunter and ghastl slightly
-edited Weepinbell
-i still don't see what you mean about charmeleon Hoeloe but I tried redoing the head, let me know if it works better

I'm going to try working on Abra soon.

RE: Pokemon Pink - Hoeloe - 07-23-2010

Charmeleon looks much better now. Weepinbells eyes look a little flat, perhaps the outline is causing that? Some selout or more AA needed maybe?

RE: Pokemon Pink - X Gamer 66 - 07-24-2010

Small update.

-redrew exeggcute
-edited Omanyte
-tried fixing Weepinbell
-tried editing Jolteon... don't really like it though. I think he needs to be completely redone

RE: Pokemon Pink - Hoeloe - 07-25-2010

Weepinbell looks better now.

I'd suggest thickening the base of Pidgey's wings, as it, thicken the side closer to it's body.

As for Jolteon, I think the main issue is with the AA.

RE: Pokemon Pink - X Gamer 66 - 07-28-2010

Another small update. I made Kingler and a new Krabby and cleaned up oddish a little.

RE: Pokemon Pink - X Gamer 66 - 08-02-2010

Small update. Moving slowly, but surely!

There's about ~25ish Pokemon I still want to edit and about 15 pokemon that are untouched. So we are getting pretty close

RE: Pokemon Pink - -Sooty- - 08-03-2010

Wowo, Its been ages since I last Checked in on this Project, Starting to look really Epic, Will it be turned into an actual game?

If you would like any help drop me a pm :')

RE: Pokemon Pink - Hoeloe - 08-03-2010

Made a bit of an edit to Pidgey, since I didn't think it looked right. See if it's better.

Also did the same thing to Magneton. It looked horribly overshaded and over AAd.

EDIT: Had a quick crack at Nidorina. Defo needs work, but I thought I'd get some input first. I'm pretty sure the head needs to be bigger.

RE: Pokemon Pink - X Gamer 66 - 08-04-2010

Wow Pidgey looks indefinitely better. It's not perfect though. The feathers still need to be rounded out, or maybe bigger and fewer.

Magneton looks better but I still want to do some touch ups myself.

Nidorina is pretty over shaded and deformed.

Fair enough.

I expected you to anyway.

Taking another look, I'd say she needs a bigger head, thicker arms and thicker legs. I'll get on that.
