Psh.. Dumbing down? I use variable_, string_, object_, and all that good jazz for -all- my coding projects that require such levels of maintenance. And i've been coding in various sources for almost 10 years now. For me it's not dumbing down at all. Quite the other way around in fact. I consider going with var_, str_, obj_, spr_ and all that jazz just to be lazy, unkempt code. Especially if you plan for others to read it as is often my case.
