RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros - HunterZ - 01-19-2009

I'm a pretty good programmer, And I love the graphic style of this game.

Do you think I could help you out?

RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros - andrio - 01-19-2009

Both of you's make a Beta. I'll decide.
Though i'm probably gonna go with Hunterz. He does flash, i think.

RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros - Kirbyfan - 01-19-2009

Wait, should Bowser's Castle be last? Or does the story have some sort of twist.
Are you excepting help with spriting?

RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros - andrio - 01-19-2009

Bowser's Castle is not the last. Well, for size issues, maybe. And we'll leave the end as 'To be Continued..' and then we make the second part with the same engines and stuff.

I reckon i should be fine spriting myself. But thanks anyway.

OK i finished my beta ima pm it to you. In the corner is says its Fps. How fast its going.
This is just sample.

RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros - andrio - 01-19-2009

If GM can do cutscenes well(coz i do have a fairly good story to go with it), then yes. I agree. GM all the way. But...iono, i kinda like flash better

EDIT: Spartan's Beta was very good. Mario comes to a stop when holding left and right at the same time, his jump was very nicely well done, but it looks like an engine edit. Meh, not that much of a big deal.

If Hunterz does the same thing with flash (or better, but this is hard to beat), i'd probably go with him. I'd like to have this on Newgrounds, see?

RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros - andrio - 01-19-2009

Awesome. GM can do cutscenes.

RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros - King of Bad Posters - 01-19-2009

Yea they can, just pm me if you decide to go with gm if not no matter.

RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros - andrio - 01-19-2009

Oh...if you want, double the sizes for everything. but keep the window the same size.

RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros - King of Bad Posters - 01-20-2009

Ill let Kirbyfan do it. I'm working on some other game anyways.Smile

RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - HunterZ - 01-20-2009

Just a question?

Why exactly do you want to use flash?
Because it can make cutscenes?
Not that its a bad idea, But flash is alot harder to program games in.

I think its because he want it to be apple to upload it in newgrounds miniclips etc...

Oh, I see.

Problem is, There aren't many good Mario Flash games.

RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - andrio - 01-22-2009

Hopefully this one will be. Cute
Most people would play flash games > gamemaker games, so..yeh.
I was barely thinking about cutscenes at all.
