ALL his attacks that involve electricity hurt him. (And some others too)

Why would you want Pichu back? He's just a lame Pikachu clone and they don't really need two Pokemon from the same evolution chain when there are hundreds of better Pokemon to choose from.

Aipom. Pichu isn't the only second generation Pokemon FYI.

RE: Pokemon in next Smash Bros - Kitsu - 11-07-2008

Now that I think about it, I should have voted "other." Other, in this case would refer to Scyther.

Of course, one of his higher evolutions would be okay, too.

Scyther (or similar) would be great because it seems he would rely almost entirely on melee combat, while all of the other Pokemon tend to be mixed long/close ranged.

Though Mewtwo back in is still a good idea...

AGHHH! 6 Pokemon would require an additional 2 Mario characters, another Star Fox character, an extra Metroid character, an F-Zero guy, maybe a DK guy, and at least one more Zelda character to hold the balance!

RE: Pokemon in next Smash Bros - Ark Kuvis - 11-07-2008

It's the only one worth noting though. Gold/Silver kinda combined the 151 pokemon from the previous game, and added a hundred more. They were all mixed up, and nothing really stood out besides like, Lugia, Ho-oh, and Pichu.

Also, Jigglypuff out. Pika, PMTR, Mewtwo, Deoxys, Lucario. IF needed, J-Puff added to PMTR.

But we all know by next Smash Bros, we'll be complaining about Lucario being kicked out in place of a new creature. Just better off to kick out the weakest link that people are slowly not caring about, Jigglypuff. Because unlike Mario, Link, Luigi, you could take out Jigglypuff and there's no status quo left to fill.

peace.

Edit: Also, DK, Yoshi, and Wario group in with the Mario Franchise. So technically, the Mario franchise is big enough at eight characters.

RE: Pokemon in next Smash Bros - Kitsu - 11-07-2008

I don't think J-puff's gonna be leaving Smash any time soon. I mean, every single one of the characters in the original Smash have been in each subsequent iteration, so it would be doubtful that she'd leave.

Besides, the J-puff was pretty awesome in SSB64 and is/was an important character in the show.

RE: Pokemon in next Smash Bros - Alpha Six - 11-08-2008

Fuck Pichu.

RE: Pokemon in next Smash Bros - LilGrim1991 - 11-08-2008

If the next game is going to be as uber as Sakurai wants it to be, he'll probably have one pokemon per type.(ex, Psychic, Ghost, Dark, Dragon, Steel), all 15 types, and they vary from generation)

RE: Pokemon in next Smash Bros - Confessor - 11-08-2008

They should get around the "we're not including generic enemies" thing by including Paper Mario characters.
Admiral Bobbery fuck yessssss

But that's not what his thread is about.

So I say... Mudkip, Groovyle, Blaziken, Hoenn Pokemon Trainer.

RE: Pokemon in next Smash Bros - Dragon Tamer♂ Sir Repiteo - 11-08-2008

IF they add any new mario characters, Add Paper Mario due to in Zelda they having Toon Link. Also, Pokemon genericly has more options than any other Nintendo game, so it's not a problem if it's characters are dominant.

Pichu for Assist Trophy, not character. It would follow you around and attack with you. Because it hurts its self When it gets to 30%, it dissapears.

But seroiusly: Pikachu, Pokemon Trainer, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, Lucario

RE: Pokemon in next Smash Bros - AutumnSpire - 11-08-2008

Pichu as a character would be utterly useless. Seriously, the only reason Pichu was in Melee was because he appeared in the 3rd movie (as the Pichu Brothers) and because he was the "baby" form of the series' mascot (for those who don't remember, breeding was one of the most "innovative" features in GSC).

As for as for another Pokémon trainer, I would like it if it was one that doesn't have starter Pokémon. I mean, they're great and all, but once you get past a few exclusive moves, they're all pretty much the same. Not saying that I can come up with other Pokémon for Pokémon Trainer; they all have the same chances, pretty much.

RE: Pokemon in next Smash Bros - Kenfireball - 11-08-2008

Hopefully a more uniquish pokemon? I've always wanted to see how a four legged character like aracnine would work in a smash game.

Ivysuar is four legged.

RE: Pokemon in next Smash Bros - Confessor - 11-08-2008

But who the hell plays as Ivysaur?

(you know, I realised a few days ago, I would absolutely love the Bulbasaur line if Venasaur wasn't so fat and ugly)
