Would have my respect if you sprited it yourself.

In the forest of illusion stage for some reason there was a spider thing that stayed down. But it disappeared after Mario died.

Anyway:

Why is Baby Bowser there on the doomship in the intro? Did you mean it to be Bowser Jr. instead?

What's with those freaky tall Toads!? Who's idea was that?

That IS Bowser Jr, he's just not wearing his mask. You can thank Tonberry for the Toads. I love them.

It looks like Baby Bowser, those things on his wrists have spikes.

RE: Super Mario Theta - Vipershark - 10-27-2008

That has got to be the longest unskippable intro I've ever seen.

RE: Super Mario Theta - Ton - 10-27-2008

Yeah, I decided to do tall and fat Toads because having a bunch that looed the same was a bit boring.

I liked the idea for the story, and the engine was decent.

Game play crits:
Spider enemies are too cheap. The only way you'll know that they're even there is if you play through before. Also, they don't seem to have a set way of falling. In other words, sometimes they'll drop down, other times they won't. This also interferes with trying to get rid of the things. I would suggest making the spiders more visible before they drop (hiding in the trees), and make it so that maybe they drop down only when Mario is nearby.

Buzzy Beetles are also too cheap. The moment they see you, they fly at speeds that are nearly impossible to dodge. Maybe slow 'em down a bit.

Also, try to make it VERY definite what is an enemy and what is a friend. I often found myself jumping on toads. Same thing with some of the background objects (toad houses, statues, etc.)
All together, okay for a fangame, but I got tired of it way too quickly.
