I'm amazed that nobody has mentioned Sonic CD. That is typically one of the games categorized under the "great" ones.

I find Sonic CD odd. I don't like having to time travel to complete the game.

Sonic games are about speed, not complex level puzzles.

it's sort of hard to judge

at certain points, the game shows slight decency and/or hints of fun and it gets really fun to play. Unfortunately though, they don't last long and you're almost instantly thrown into one of the most frustrating things that you've ever played. For me, it ranges from below average to awful, but some people think it's great. You'll have to judge for yourself.

Probably just playing the first world will make you want to snap your disc in half because of how slow sonic runs and how annoying he is to control. Once you beat the first world though, his speed picks up and the game gets better. For a litle while.

It's not THAT complex. And it still feels like a Sonic game.

How theres so many qeustioning sonic games topics?

It's like we need to sticky at least one topic to keep it in one topic or something.

Sonic 1, 2, 3, &K, Cd, Adventure, Adventure 2, Advance 1, Advance 2, Advance 3 were the only perfect ones in my book. Secret rings, Shadow were somewhat decent, the rest is pretty much shit now

Um, hey, has anyone played Sonic Fighters? The one with Bark and Bean. How was that?

RE: The "in-between" Sonic games. - Cshad - 10-26-2008

Whats thier to say about it? It was a fighter game, it was interesting, but metal sonic was hell to defeat at any given difficulty.

Also I loved sonic shuffle >:

Sonic the Fighters owned.

Pretty cool fighter. Satisfying as hell to clock someone in the face, watching as they soar across the stage and smash into a wall while rings spew out, all in a cartoony fashion. Had great music too. Plus Sonic characters that were actually cool.

RE: The "in-between" Sonic games. - Cshad - 10-26-2008

I wish there was a sonic the fighters two, sonic battle doesn't have the same charm.

RE: The "in-between" Sonic games. - Koopaul - 10-27-2008

Bark the Bear wasn't that cool. But atleast he wasn't another hedgehog recolor.

RE: The "in-between" Sonic games. - Teeks - 10-27-2008

Bark and Bean were neat one shoot characters. I dunno if I'd want them in every game but for what they were, they were pretty rad.

Sonic the Fighters is a nice little distraction but it gets old fast. A new one would be cool, though

RE: The "in-between" Sonic games. - Desert Cat - 10-27-2008

Sonic Team should stop inventing new characters and start revisiting old ones.

RE: The "in-between" Sonic games. - Geo the Fox - 10-27-2008

Sonic Team should do a lot of things.

But it never will.

Sonic's never gonna change. Get over it. Deal or move on.

Because the Chaotix were such great characters.

RE: The "in-between" Sonic games. - kyrtuck - 10-27-2008

Yeah, I agree with the "Sega should revisit old characters" thing. But Sega ai'nt likely to do it, so you should do what Geo said, and "move on".
