I can't find much about their other titles, unfortunately.

I had a go at decompressing the files in a couple of formats, none are really working. TrID (a very cool file identification program) told me that cartman_atlas_0.dds was a Photoshop Brush file, but any others can't be identified so that isn't it. I'm really at a loss.

The only thing I can think of is asking on the XeNTaX forums, but I don't have an account and it costs 5 euros. The guys over there seem to have a sixth sense for this sort of stuff, heh.

I tried Xentax and got warned for it. Seems they've become completely useless now as we're not allowed to post sample files even. So yeah...hence why I said you guys are my only hope for this. I appreciate all the work you've done thus far, and I hope we can get it sorted out. But Xentax is not an option at this point.

I sent the files to a friend of mine who's way better than me in cryptology.
He promised to look into it but no guarantees. :&

Could you please fix the title, it's been bugging me forever Sad

RE: Some XBOX360 files. - Carpaccio - 07-30-2014

I didn't even notice that, haha, sorry. It's fixed now.

Sorry to bring this up again. Has there been any progress further? I've tried various methods of viewing with no real luck whatsoever unfortunately.

I found a way to try all of QuickBMS's decompression methods on a file (which seems to be 500 different methods), and not one of them decompresses the DDS files to actual DDS files. If none of these 500 worked, then the method for compression here must be very rare and probably unique to the game.

I hope Sam's friend manages to do better than me.

Sorry about taking so long to reply. I seemed to misplace this topic for a bit. I've been thinking the files might just be missing header information or something, but I'll have to take another look at it.
